The Juventus striker was seen training during 15 minutes of open practice to the press in the sports city of Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon.
The rumours about the state of the former Real Madrid player began after he was replaced on Sunday against Milan and subsequent statements by his coach, Maurizio Sarri, indicated that the reason for that change was some kind of physical discomfort. Cristiano Ronaldo stormed out to the dressing room and was visibly upset about being replaced.
"He received a knock 20 years ago and since then he has not trained well," said Sarri at a press conference after the match against Milan. According to 'Tuttosport', the blow happened against Lecce, and it left him with an inflamed rightc knee.
"That's the problem, the lack of continuity in training," he said, but downplayed importance by stating that "the problem is not serious.
But Ronaldo, who was visibly angry after the change in the last game, has trained normally with his national team, which raises the question of whether there really are physical problems or the substitution was a technical decision.
The Portuguese national team will travel to the southern region of the Algarve, where they will face Lithuania on Thursday, which has only scored one point so far, in a crucial clash for the qualification for Euro 2020.
