CR7 up for Atletico game: "Let's keep our Champions League dream alive!"
Cristiano Ronaldo still has faith in Man Utd being able to beat Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Portuguese, in form after getting a hat-trick against Tottenham, published a message ahead of the game with Atletico Madrid.
"It's one of those days which we've all been waiting for. One of those chances to show the world the reason why Old Trafford is known as the Theatre of Dreams. Let's recreate the amazing atmosphere that we saw in our last home game and let's keep our Champions League dream alive!," he wrote.
"We are Man. United! Let's do this together! Let's go, Devils", he concluded. The text was accompanied by several images of him training together with his teammates under the orders of Ralf Rangnick. It is important that the dressing room seems to be united given that there has been talk of some players wanting Maguire to be stripped of the captaincy.
To achieve what Cristiano Ronaldo has encouraged his team to achieve, Man Utd will need just victory over Atletico Madrid. The first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano ended 1-1 so it is all to play for in the second leg.
