Romanian journalist Emanuel Rocu says that the match between Romania and Norway this Sunday on Romanian soil is at risk of being suspended due to COVID-19 cases in the Norwegian side.
Elabdellaoui recently confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus while he was with the Norwegian national team and he had to be kept apart from the rest of the team. His club Galatasaray mentioned the news, but kept his identity a secret. The player revealed the news on Twitter though.
Once Norway comment on the situation, UEFA will make a decision based on whether there are more cases of coronavirus in the Norwegian squad. The visitors may not be allowed into Romania.
It is worth remembering that last Wednesday's friendly between Norway and Israel was also postponed, but that was because of a COVID case in the Israeli side. Norway were happy to play, but the match never took place.
