Courtois, who spent three seasons out on loan at Atletico Madrid earlier in his career, has repeatedly been linked with a move to Real Madrid this season. The Belgian keeper has been Chelsea's number one since he returned to the club in 2014, and is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
However, Courtois' contract at Chelsea is due to run out at the end of next season, and the fact that he has not yet signed an extension has led to rumours that he will join Spanish giants Real Madrid in summer. Madrid, who have also been linked with Manchester United's David De Gea, are reportedly keen on bringing in a new man between the sticks, and Courtois is one of their top targets.
The 25-year-old has now come out in an attempt to dispell these links, though, saying that he is "committed" to the London side, as reported by the 'Daily Mail'. "I'm committed to Chelsea," he insisted. "I have a contract until next year and I will be here. I will do my best for it."
"Obviously there is no extension signed but I don't think now is the moment to do it. I think it is better to wait until the end of the season. All I can say is I'm committed to Chelsea and also committed for next year."
The Belgian also expressed his annoyance at the speculation surrounding his future, saying his focus is on helping Chelsea to finish the season on a high. "It's easy when you have only one year remaining that other people might say something,' he claimed.
"I'm a bit annoyed by it because it's a talking point and it's a thing people want to dwell on."
"I think the focus now should be on winning our League games to get a top four finish and back in the Champions League for next season as well as going through in the FA Cup"
Chelsea are currently four points adrift of the top-four, and have a huge FA Cup quarter-final against Leicester City on Sunday. The domestic trophy is Antonio Conte's only chance of silverware this season, as the Chelsea players will look to bounce back from their Champions League defeat against Barcelona.
