What will Luis Suarez do against Barcelona? That is the question Diego Simeone has in mind because his star striker is out for the match against his former club. There are three main candidates to replace him.
Angel Correa is maybe the best bet. He has already been seen playing with Joao Felix up front and he can also adapt to a front three which sees the Portuguese as the main man and Correa is on the flank. He is in form and he came on for the second half against Cadiz.
Marcos Llorente is another contender. In fact, he could play along with Correa in a formation with two wingers alongside Joao Felix up front. The Spaniard has been playing well on the touchline, but his goalscoring instinct could suit Atletico perfectly.
And Diego Costa, of course, enters in the equation. He would be the most natural alternative: it would be enough to just play him alongside Joao Felix up front and Simeone could play a 4-4-2 formation. The problem is that he is still injured and it remains to be seen whether he arrives in time for the match.
