Rumours began emerging on Tuesday night that the Welsh striker will not be included in Real Madrid's starting XI for the Round of 16 first leg on Wednesday night as Zidane tweaks his tactics to reduce the attacking threat of the Parisian club.
Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez would be other credible options, however, it seems that Isco will be the 'chosen one' to help out in midfield given that he was only on the bench for the La Liga game against Real Sociedad at the weekend.
His presence may surprise many as he doesn't grab the headlines like the 'BBC' and that his French head coach tends to opt for his attacking trident when they are all healthy, which they currently are.
Nonetheless, given the great offensive power that PSG possess up front and in midfield, it could be a tactical masterstroke from Zidane to go with a four-man midfield and dominate possession, and hopefully the game.
Either way, if Isco does feature in the starting line-up, it will be a huge confidence booster for the Spaniard as he looks to stake his claim for 'Los Blancos' against the very best in Europe.
