Despite fighting to get a point against Uruguay, Chile lost 2-1 right at the death to a Maxi Gomez goal. That said, Rueda's men complained about a penalty not given a few minutes before that.
That lead to the Chilean FA (ANFP) asking for the VAR audios of the match, something which CONMEBOL accepted. On Saturday, the audio from the VAR room was released on social media.
The most controversial incident occurred in the 87th minute when the ball hit Coates' arm from Davila's cross. The VAR team deemed it not to be a penalty. "I see it hits him on the hand, but it's in a natural position. I don't see him making his body bigger," the VAR said.
