What happened on Tuesday night at the Parc des Princes will go down in Champions League and footballing history for what PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir did after an alleged racist comment.
Several players heard fourth official Sebastian Coltescu said "this black guy" to the Basaksehir assistant coach and that caused the anger of players like substitute Demba Ba.
The remaining 77 minutes of the match were postponed to Wednesday and the comment has been attributed to Coltescu. He has been asked for explanations and his family say that anyone who knows him knows he is not racist.
Now, UEFA and the Romanian FA are investigating the incident and the latter are not sure that those words came from Coltescu's mouth.
'L'Equipe' reports that Sebastian Coltescu did not make those comments and that it actually came from Octavian Sovre, one of the assistant referees.
'Digisport' has listened to the audio recordings and also believes it came from the linesman. "The black man over there. It seems like it's more like Octavian Sovre's voice.
'MD' also reported this information and the Romanian FA have also said that the Twitter account in which Coltescu apologised is fake. UEFA are continuing to investigate.
