Jefferson Lerma has handed in an official transfer request at Levante after the club rejected a significant bid from Bournemouth.
The 'Cherries' reportedly offered £22 million bid + add-ons for the 23-year-old, however the La Liga outfit believe that the midfielder is worth more.
Lerma signed a new contract in May with a release clause of £53.5 million and it was thought Levante would be prepared to do business at around half of that fee.
Lerma played an important role in Colombia's World Cup squad, featuring in all four of their matches in Russia, including the last-16 defeat on penalties to England.
Jefferson looks set to force his way out of Levante.
