City's plan to keep De Bruyne

Manchester City's is one of the most talented teams in Europe and the world. However, because of their status, the club needs to be able to compete in Europe's top competition. If the two-year UCL sanction is confirmed, the risk of a player exodus is very high. For that reason, the club is already thinking of ways to avoid that situation. 

Such is the case for Kevin de Bruyne, one of City's most coveted players along with Raheem Sterling. Both are the priority for the club's sports planning, which is why keeping them around is of the utmost importance. 

According to t'Express', De Bruyne would be earning 20 million euros per season if he renewed his commitment to Manchester City. A proposal that would scare off Real Madrid, one of the many teams that are looking to sign the Belgian if City's ban is confirmed. 

De Bruyne has been a City player five seasons and has become one of the team's flagships.
