City preparing 90 million to steal Lautaro from Barca

City have a priority in the market: find a long term guaranteed replacement for Sergio Agüero. They are working on that at the Etihad.

'The Sun' affirm that Guardiola's favourite to succeed Agüero is Kane, but they understand that his signing is impossible. Hence they have moved to the number two on their list, Lautaro Martínez.

City would be willing to invest, according to the newspaper, some 90 million euros with the aim of seeing Lautaro in their ranks.

The other big team interested in Lautaro is Barcelona. Bartomeu spoke about it recently. "We were in talks with Inter about Lautaro. We talked, but decided to stop the dialogue when football came back. Now we'll see what happens...",  he said.

At the Etihad Stadium, they want to move ahead of Barca and tie-down Lautaro Martínez first. They see him as the ideal replacement for 'Kun', who has one more year on his City contract, but who has apparently decided to return to Argentina once it ends, despite City reportedly offering him one more season, 'The Sun' says.
