Manchester City are reportedly keen to sign Stephan Eustaquio of CD Chaves, but will have to fight off the likes of Barcelona, Real Betis and Sporting Lisbon if they want to attain the much coveted talent.
It is thought that Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon have already made an opening offer for the youngster; his release clause stands at £13.3million.
The 21 year old midfielder has impressed many top clubs after joining CD Chaves earlier this year.
Born in Canada but to Portuguese parents, he represented his native country at junior level, but is now being tipped for senior Portugal duty, after several strong showings in the U21 side.
Eustaquio has been compared with current City star David Silva, but in a recent interview, it was the Spanaird's compatriot Sergio Busquets, who the Portuguese named as his inspiration.
"I think there is no smarter player in the field than Sergio Busquets, so I look at him when I occupy the position of No 6, half defensive," Eustaquio explained.
