PSG's 4-1 win against Barcelona in the Champions League has fuelled rumours of Messi's possible departure. His contract with Barca expires in June and there are those who believe that his future could lie under Guardiola at City.
The British press informed on Friday of a supposed offer from City to Messi. According to 'The Sun', the club reportedly offered the Argentine 497 million euros, but it wasn't the only one. In the summer, this same source informed, City already tried to convince Messi with 693 million euros for 5 seasons.
City didn't take long to deny it all. A spokesperson from the English club assured to 'Sky Sports' that there has been no contact nor offers for the Argentine, not in the summer nor now.
The 33-year-old player, at Barcelona for his whole life, asked to leave Barcelona last summer, but ended up announcing that he would stay at least this season.
Manchester City, according to various rumours, is the ideal option for Messi. Another option is PSG. There he would reunite with Neymar, who made all the alarm bells ring when he said he sees himself playing alongside his ex-Barcelona teammate again.
