It had to happen and it did. At PSV, Angelino finally showed his full potential. He had a fantastic season. better than the one he had at NAC Breda, where he was on loan in the 2017-18 season.
Last term, Angelino made 43 appearances. He was a nailed on starter on the left flank for the Dutch outfit. He scored one goal and gave 11 assists. And of course, Man City wanted him back.
They kept open the option to buy him back and that is what they have done. Angelino is back at Manchester City after signing a new contract until 2023.

He came through the Deportivo youth system before leaving for Man City aged 16. He kept on improving there until he became too good for the age group categories.
The club sent him on loan to New York City, Man City's sister club, where he played 14 matches. Two seasons later, after playing just three games for the City first team, he returned to Spain. He went on loan to Girona and Mallorca, but it was in Holland where he showed his best.

He spent the 2017-18 season on loan at NAC Breda and he was impressive there. So much so that PSV put five and a half million euros on the table to sign the player. But City were clever and made sure they always had the chance to get him back if needed.
How much did the re-signing cost? Difficult to know. English media are reporting it is somewhere between six and 12 million euros.
Jose Angel Esmoris Tasende, also known as Angelino, returns to Manchester.
