Manchester City announced that Claudio Bravo has officially left the club on Tuesday. The Chilean goalkeeper is thus a free agent after his contract at the English club expired.
City wanted to thank the 37-year-old goalkeeper in a statement where they reviewed his four-year career at the Etihad and wished him "the best of luck in his future endeavours".
Bravo arrived at Manchester City in 2016 from Barcelona and was the starting keeper before the arrival of Ederson, which gave him the role of substitute and cup goalkeeper.
In total, the Chilean international has played 61 matches with City, letting in 59 goals. Out of them, 29 were in the Premier League in a City career that was marked by his serious knee injury in 2018-19.
Now, everything points to Claudio Bravo's future being at Real Betis. He is looking for a short contract, and after ruling out Leeds, Betis seem the option that convinces the Chilean the most.
