Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has told Goal he is unhappy on the bench after keeping a clean sheet in the 4-0 Champions League win against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 27-year-old made his second start for the club in Tuesday's dead-rubber final group game at Camp Nou, which was watched by Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool squad.
The summer signing from Ajax has so far played second fiddle to Barca number one Marc-Andre ter Stegen and he admits he would like more minutes.
"I feel great, it was really nice to play and I am happy for keeping the clean sheet," Cillessen told Goal after Arda Turan's hat-trick helped Barca to a comfortable victory.
"I knew what I was facing when I came here and I am still learning. I am happy to be here and I'm improving - that's why I moved here. But of course I want to play but it would be stupid to say I am happy on the bench."
Cillessen also revealed he is still getting to grips with Spanish but he hopes to be in a better position to communicate after La Liga's winter break, which runs from December 18 to January 6.
"My Spanish is not good," he admitted. "I understand most words and I can combine it, but it is still difficult but I take Spanish lessons three times a week. I hope after the Christmas break I can speak Spanish a little bit better."
Barca had already qualified as group winners before the match, while Monchengladbach drop into the Europa League after finishing behind Manchester City and ahead of Celtic.
The Netherlands international added: "Because our defence is good I can enjoy being with the team; today they did good and we didn't give any chances for our rivals to score."
