Christian Eriksen has been to visit the team at the training ground after leaving hospital, the Danish FA confirmed.
"Christian Eriksen has been through a successful operation and was today released from Rigshospitalet. Today he also visited the national team in Helsingor and from there he will go home and spend time with his family," the FA said in a statement.
The Inter player also left a message of thanks to fans and said he would cheer the team on against Russia in their last game. "Thank you for the massive number of greetings. It's been incredible to see and feel. The operation went well and I'm doing well under the circumstances," he began. "It was really great to see the guys again after the fantastic game they played last night," he concluded.
Denmark must beat Russia to stand a chance of making the last 16 after losing against both Finland and Belgium.
