The centre half has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge this season, playing only 6 times in all competitions for Maurizzio Sarri's side, and notably without a single appearance in the Premier League.
While Christensen has admitted that he is unhappy with his current role at the club, he does not expect to move away during the upcoming transfer window.
The Dane told 'Sky Sports News': "If you asked every player that's not playing if they're happy, they're going to say no. Everyone wants to play. I can't do anything else but go back there, train and do my best. Every time I get that opportunity, I have to do well and show him (Sarri) that he can count on me."
Under managerial predecessor Antonio Conte, Christensen was a mainstay in the Chelsea side, playing 40 matches in total last season. However his new reality is a far cry from the old style of play, which favoured an extra centre back in the defensive line.
Christensen continued by asserting his belief that a move is out of the question, saying: " Difficult question. No, I don't think so. Things are different from last season. I played a lot of games [last season] but this season it hasn't been like that. It's always difficult for a player but we'll see what happens."
