After Maurizio Sarri left the club abruptly to take over at Juventus, Chelsea are now searching for the right man to take over ahead of next season, with former player Frank Lampard believed to be their favoured option.
Another 'Blues' legend in John Terry, who currently works as assistant manager at Aston Villa, has this week been linked with the Derby job if Lampard does complete his return to Stamford Bridge.
The London-based side will have to pay just under 4.5 million Euros if they are to lure Lampard away from Derby, with reports suggesting that the move is set to be confirmed this weekend.
The English press are also suggesting that Lampard will take over until 2022, although he will not be able to sign any players this coming season due to a UEFA-imposed transfer ban on the club.
