    Villarreal defeated Manchester United to win the Europa League in dramatic fashion. After Gerard Moreno's opener was cancelled out by Cavani in the second half, the teams went all the way to a penalty shoot-out. After all ten outfield players scored their spot kicks, it was down to the goalkeepers to decide proceedings. Rulli scored his before saving De Gea's, as Villarreal won the first major trophy in the club's history.

    Chelsea were crowned Champions of Europe after defeating Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League final thanks to a Kai Havertz goal. That became just the second UCL trophy in the country's history, and the first trophy for Thomas Tuchel as Blues boss. What a way to get it!
