Chelsea:
The Blues will be without left-back Marcos Alonso, who is serving the second game of a three match ban that he picked up for a stamp on Shane Long when Chelsea faced Southampton last Saturday.
They could also be without Danny Drinkwater, who is recovering from a groin problem, and Ross Barkley, who is not yet back up to match fitness. David Luiz remains sidelined with a knee injury.
Southampton:
Saints have a relatively full squad for the tie. Sofiane Boufal is a doubt due to illness, while Jack Stephens will serve the last game of the suspension he earned against Arsenal for a clash with Jack Wilshere. Mario Lemina is the only other absentee, as the Frenchman recovers from a back problem.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte:
The Italian is hoping that Chelsea can make the FA Cup final again this year, after they lost out to Arsenal in the final last year. "A second final in a row would be great for our fans," Conte said.
However, he is not using the cup as a measure of his side's season. "It's not my task to judge the season," he explained. "I have to work and try to transfer my enthusiasm to the team."
"Sometimes I am good, sometimes I am not so good."
Southampton boss Mark Hughes:
The Saints manager says that he may make changes from the side that drew with Leicester on Thursday. "(Leicester) was a difficult game for us and we need to make sure that the physicality and athleticism is there against the top teams," he stated. "We won't be making radical changes, but we need to use our resources in the best way we can."
"We are trying to build some momentum and an FA Cup semi-final could be good for us with that in mind."
"You don't get too many opportunities in your career to get to a major cup final,” Hughes added. “We've got one, so we should grasp the opportunity and make the most of it."
Did you know?
This is Southampton's first FA Cup semi-final since 2003, when they made it to the final and lost out to Arsenal. Of the last five FA Cup clashes between the two sides, Saints have won four, however they did lose the most recent of the five 5-1 (2012/13). Furthermore, they have lost in five of their last seven trips to Wembley.
