Everything seems to suggest that Kai Havertz will play for Chelsea next season. It is taken for granted in the world of football although the Blues are trying to reduce the costs of the transfer fee which could go up to 200 million euros.
This figure includes the transfer fee, which Leverkusen have set at 100 million euros and Havertz's salary which could be another 100 million across five seasons. This is according to the British and German media.
According to 'AS', the Chelsea director general Marina Granovskaia is in talks with Bayer Leverkusen so that the cost of his transfer is reduced to 80 million euros. The other 20 million would be in variables.
Apparently, the German club would not be against this change. Bayer Leverkusen are willing to wait to receive those bonuses and Chelsea cannot be too demanding otherwise they risk missing out on the player. Other clubs like Bayern Munich and Man Utd are also interested in Havertz.
