Rumours over Chelsea's possible interest in De Ligt keep on growing. Everything seems to indicate that the club owned by Roman Abrahovich have got tired over Kounde and Sevilla's refusal and they are now seriously considering getting hold of the Dutchman.
According to the 'Mirror', the Blues are willing to pay up to 120 million euros to sign the promising central defender. The Dutch international has a contract until 2024, but his buyout clause will become 120 million next season.
His agent Mino Raiola already hinted at the possibility of De Ligt leaving Juventus at the end of the 2021-22 season. In addition, the central defender's poor performances have been a surprise for the Old Lady.
Despite being a nailed on starter in the XI in the three seasons he has been at the club, the Dutchman has not given everything that was expected of him since signing from Ajax. So far this season, he has made four appearances and scored one goal.
