Chelsea step up talks for Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United continue to restructure their squad ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season. The Red Devils, who have secured major signings such as Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha, have also been busy in terms of departures. 

Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho are all poised to pack their bags and leave Old Trafford, with the Argentine winger closest to securing his departure. 

The Argentina international is on the verge of swapping the Red Devils' red for Chelsea's blue, having already agreed personal terms to sign a new contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit. 

Fabrizio Romano reports that Enzo Maresca's side, reigning champions of the 2025 Club World Cup, are in club-to-club negotiations with Manchester United over the transfer fee, with Garnacho's market value estimated at around €60 million.
