Thomas Tuchel has a long and select list of transfer targets this summer. Among them is the stand-out name of Erling Haaland, as the Dortmund striker has become the Blues' main objective.
Chelsea want Haaland in their attack and they're not thinking about waiting. 'ESPN' report that, even though they may have the chance to sign him next season for around 75 million, the club wil go all out to bring him in this summer.
Jan Aage Fjotoft, ex-Premier League player and legend of the Norwegian national team, told the aforementioned media outlet that Chelsea are willing to pay 156 million to secure Haaland's services. "Haaland is Chelsea's main target. They would like to test Dortmund with an offer around 156 million, double what the Germans could earn in 2022"; Fjortoft said.
At the moment, however, Borussia Dortmund have stood firm. The club look set on their decision to keep hold of Haaland until the end, even if this means losing out on some money. It remains to be seen whether the offer indicated by 'ESPN' becomes a reality, and whether that will change the plans of the Germans.
