Everything seems to indicate that Kepa Arrizabalaga will not continue at Chelsea next season. The Spanish goalkeeper has no continuity at the London club and could leave on loan in this transfer window.
The Blues moved quickly in the face of this situation and in the last few hours agreed the signing of a goalkeeper who was not in anyone's plans for 15 million euros.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Chicago Fire and Gabriel Slonina will become the new goalkeeper for Thomas Tuchel's side from 1st January 2023.
The American goalkeeper, just 18 years old, will complete this season with the North American club and will only join the English side next year with the aim of replacing Kepa and being the substitute for Edouard Mendy.
Thus, the English club is keeping one of the great promises of American football. At his young age, Slonina has already had outstanding performances in the MLS and now he will have to prove his abilities in the Premier League.
