Chelsea have bought time with regards to signing Werner. There were just a few days left until his 53 million euro buyout clause expired. But no. The German paper 'Bild' reports that it will now expired on 15th July.
Thid has suited Chelsea brilliantly. They prefer to wait for the Premier League to return in order to get some extra money before signing him. The figure they will have to put on the table is not a tiny amount and the board want to make sure he is the right man.
'Bild' adds that the footballer is not thinking of any another option which is not moving to Stamford Bridge. He would sign for five seasons in England and he would become a key man for the West Londoners.
In fact, he would become the highest paid player in the squad. He is just 24, but the only thing is he does not have Premier League experience. Chelsea have just over a month to decide.
