Chelsea boss Maresca shuts down Enzo Fernandez exit rumours

Speaking to the press, Maresca confirmed Fernandez will stay at Stamford Bridge, despite recent rumours linking him with a move to La Liga.
"Enzo is a main player for us," he said. "He's one of the leaders. He's been very, very good — and I believe he can be even better next season." His comments come amid whispers fuelled by some of the player's Argentina teammates, but the coach was quick to dismiss any talk of a summer exit.
Fernandez, who joined Chelsea in early 2023, has become a pivotal figure in the squad. Under Maresca's guidance, the midfielder has thrived, playing an integral role in what has been the club's strongest Premier League start since 2021.
The Blues boss, appointed in July 2024, has brought a new sense of stability and purpose to the club.
