Chelsea and Man City to consider £60m bid for Inter's Bastoni

Inter's Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni has become a transfer target for both Chelsea and Manchester City. The 24-year-old started his career as a full-back but has established himself in the elite as a guaranteed centre-back.
Bastoni has become one of the most sought-after centre-backs in the world and has previously turned down offers from Tottenham when he was coached by Antonio Conte. The Inter player is worth £60m and it seems the Italian club will not let him leave Milan for less than that.
A report from Calciomercato describes that as well as being on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester City, Inter would be open to negotiating a deal for around £60m because if the Italians want to buy a player they would have to sell first, and they believe they can get a good deal for Alessandro Bastoni.
Manchester City spent a huge amount on Gvardiol and Chelsea have spent a lot of money on signings this summers but it looks like both teams could make an effort to reinforce their defence. The Serie A giants renewed Bastoni this summer to remain at Inter for another five years. The former Atalanta player has made 173 official appearances for Inter, in which he has started 160 games, scored 3 goals and provided 14 assists for the Italians, and has been an essential part of the defence.
