Chelsea add Brighton's Rutter to their shortlist for next summer

Georginio Rutter has been one of Brighton's sensations this season. The French striker joined the Seagulls last summer from Leeds and has lived up to expectations.
Despite currently sidelined with a foot injury sustained against Forest on March 29, the 22-year-old has scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 34 competitive appearances for the Seagulls.
Rutter's strong performances have put him on Chelsea's shortlist, who are closely monitoring the player's development ahead of next summer.
In fact, the 22-year-old Frenchman has already found the net against the Blues when Brighton eliminated them in the last 32 of the FA Cup. A stumbling block in the negotiations will be his contract until 2028, although a lucrative offer from Chelsea could be enough for a deal to be struck.
