Blackpool have gone in to significant decline since their Premier League hayday in 2012-13, and are now in the third tier of English football after financial difficulties.
Charlton have also faced financial difficulties in recent times, with fans of the 'Addicks' furious at the way that Roland Duchatelet is running the club.
Fans from both teams went to the officies of the Football League in London to protest the way their clubs are being run, and try ot get the organisation to intervene.
In a statement on the issue, the league said "The EFL acknowledges the right of Blackpool and Charlton Athletic fans to stage a protest outside EFL offices on Friday afternoon.
"During this time the EFL met with representatives from both sets of fans, listened to their concerns, and confirmed that in recent weeks there has been direct contact with the ownership of the respective clubs in regard to the relevant matters raised."
