Cesc Fabregas has a new team. After being released from AS Monaco, the experienced midfielder has agreed a deal to join Italian Serie B side Como Calcio.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Barcelona player will arrive in the next few days in Italy for the medical examination and the signing of the contract, which will have a two-season extension.
Fabregas, 35, turned down an offer from UD Las Palmas in favour of Como for his first experience of Italian football. The midfielder will become the team's top player and will be looking to lead the team to promotion to Serie A.
Cesc spent the last four seasons in Ligue 1 with Monaco, but previously played in Spain's La Liga with Barcelona and in the Premier League with Arsenal and Chelsea.
