The 2020/21 sporting season is only just getting started but the financial year is nearly over.
Celta Vigo have announced an estimated 12 million euros of losses as a result of the pandemic.
Carlo mouriño's side had projected a turnover of 70.3 million euros last year and a profit of close to half a million euros, but the recent economic crisis caused by COVID-19 has forced revisions to those predictions.
The final figure will depend on which players are sold from amongst the current squad in January. It would be the worst financial results for the club since 2009, when they declared bankruptcy the year before.
