TEAM NEWS
Celta de Vigo
Last season saw Celta Vigo finish just above relegation in 17th place, with 10 wins, 11 draws and 17 losses and a total of 41 points. Which means that they will be wanting to put themselves higher up in the table in this season's campaign. Celta had a varied pre-season, starting off well, with 3 wins, however they lost their final 2 games and so will not be wanting to carry on this losing streak. Celta will have to play without summer signing Mina, who is out with an ankle problem and their is concern over their captain Hugo Mallo, who has a hamstring injury. Dennis Suarez and Gabriel Fernandez could be set to make their debut's, with Aspas being Madrid's main threat. Tomorrow's game will no doubt prove a hard one for Celta, with them being seen as the underdods in this game and with Madrid having won on four of their last five visits to Celta in the league.
Real Madrid
21 wins, 5 draws and 12 losses is how Real Madrid performed last season, collecting 68 points and ultimately finishing in third place behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, their aim will be to better that this year. Real Madrid have had a bad start to their preseason, losing three games, and so they will be hoping to start the season as they mean to go on - with a win, especially after ending their season last year with 2 losses. Madrid's star signing of the summer Eden Hazard will miss the opening game due to a thigh injury, meaning that Zidane might have to consider James and Bale, who did not play any minutes in preseason. Asensio will also be out with a long-term knee injury. Mendy,Diaz and Rodrygo will all miss out this weekend through hamstring problems. Carvajal is suspènded for 'Los Blancos' after picking up a yellow card in the final weekend of last season. Real Madrid will certainly be under pressure to perform tomorrow. Madrid remain unbeaten at the Balaidos since a 2-0 defeat in May 2014.

MANAGER'S THOUGHTS
Fran Escribá states that they are more than capable of beating Madrid and that they are going into the game confident "whoever performs best in both areas will be closer to taking the game". He says that the opening game of the season is always a serious one and that they are prepared and have trained hard for it.
Zinedine Zidane goes into tommorow's opening game with optimism, "We are ready to play a good game, we want to compete", he says that they have to remain optimistic and wants to regain the fans support after a bad preseason. He trusts in his players and believes that he has "the best players". It looks like he is considering James and Bale in his squad now, after dismissing them in preseason, saying "James is fit and I am happy to have him in the squad" and stating that Bale is an important player for them.
