"Casemiro knows the road: how you win games and finally how you win trophies"

Dutchman Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United manager, was delighted with the signing of Brazilian Carlos Henrique Casemiro from Real Madrid, who he said "knows the road: how you win games and finally how you win trophies".
Casemiro, who had an emotional farewell ceremony at Real Madrid on Monday morning, attended the match at Old Trafford against Liverpool on Monday evening, in which his new team won 2-1.
His experience in recent years with Madrid, and his contribution to numerous titles in Spain and at international level, in addition to his talent, are key to the dream of revival of the Red Devils, with whom he has signed until June 2026.
"We now have more players who have already won many trophies in their career. That has to be a guide for the rest of the team so that they know and understand how to win matches," Ten Hag said.
The Dutchman was pleased with his team's progress and praised the attitude and leadership shown in the match by Portugal's Bruno Fernandes and another former Madrid player, French defender Raphael Varane, something he hopes Casemiro will also bring.
