CAS overturns AC Milan's Europa League ban

AC Milan's ban from the 2018-19 Europa League for breaching Financial Fair Play and licensing regulations has been overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The Italian side had been deemed to be in breach of the break-even requirement of the FFP regulations and banned from UEFA competition for two seasons.

However, after Milan appealed, CAS has now anulled that ban and referred the case back to the Ajudicatory Chamber of the UEFA lub Financial Control Body "to issue a propotionary dislicplinary measure".

Despite finding Milan guilty of breaching the break-even requirement, the punishment received was deemed "disproportionate" by CAS.

The club sent a 10-man delegation Lausanne Switzerland to fight the case and they have got their desired result after a hearing that lasted in excess of 10 hours.
