The exit door for James Rodriguez has just closed. The Cas has reduced Real Madrid's transfer ban to just one transfer window, meaning that Madrid will be able to bring in players in the summer, but not in January.
The Colombian made it clear after the Club World Cup final that he would be considering his future in the coming days and his Real Madrid career was up in the air.
However, after finding out Cas' decision, James will have to stay, despite not being comfortable and wanting more playing time, something which Zidane isn't giving him at the minute.
James has various lucrative offers from European teams that would guarantee him a starting berth and the transfer window is just around the corner.
Madrid have refused to talk aout the issue up until now, but will have to deal with it. James wants to have his future decided by 27 December, when the first team squad returns to training. Until then, we shall see what happens.
