de Liverpool en el 81'
  • 81'
Was there ever any doubt?? The ever dependable James Milner steps up and tucks the ball home in the bottom right corner. That should be the three points in the bag for Klopp's side.
  • 79'
Penalty for Liverpool!! Morrison makes a mess of a clearance and Salah tries to take him on in the box. Morrison had his hands all over the winger and the ref points to the spot.

Joe Ralls seemed to pull up as he chased back the fleet-footed Mane and is replaced by Leandro Bacuna.
  • 77'
Liverpool once more break quickly from a Cardiff corner, but Mane makes a poor decision and gives the ball away when Liverpool have a four on two. Liverpool corner coming up.
  • 75'

  • 74'
And that's the Brazilians afternoon over. Just two minutes after coming on, Fabinho is taken off and replaced by James Milner. Judging by his face as he got back to his feet, this is probably a wise decision from Liverpool's medical team.
  • 72'
Fabinho down holding his head moments after entering the field of play.
  • 70'
Summer signing Fabinho replaces another summer signing in Naby Keita. The Guinean midfielder looked tidy today but didn't offer too much going forward for the Reds.
  • 67'
Striker Kenneth Zohore replaces Oumar Niasse for Cardiff.
  • 66'
Fancy footwork from Mane on the left as he pulls the ball back to Salah, but a bobble sees the Egyptian fire his effort way over the bar.

WOAH! HOW DID HE MISS?? Morrison is left unmarked from inside the six yard box, but he somehow manages to dive under the ball as it hits him on the back and goes behind for a goal kick. Huge left-off for Liverpool...

  • 62'

A fine finish from the midfielder for just his second ever Premier League away goal.

  • 54'
Trent finds himself a bit of space coming in from the left after good work by Keita, but he blazes his effort wide. Liverpool need to work the ball into the box here as their long range efforts just aren't troubling Etheridge.
  • 52'
Mane has looked Liverpool's biggest threat so far, and Liverpool will need to keep getting him involved if they want to find a goal here...
  • 51'
Ooo! Mane cuts in front the left and tries to curl one in at the far post, but it flashes just over the crossbar.
  • 50'
Long-range effort from Salah dribbles into the grateful hands of Etheridge. The Egyptian might have been better off sliding in Robertson to his left there, you know...
  • 48'
Chance for Cardiff as captain Morrison rises at the back post following a cross from the left, but like Henderson in the first half he struggles with the sun and makes a mess of his header.
  • 46'
The teams are back out and Cardiff get us underway in the second half.
  • 45'
That's it for the first half then. Liverpool have dominated proceedings but have yet to break the deadlock on an extremely dry pitch at the Cardiff City Stadium.
  • 45'
And smacks it straight into the wall, before the referee blows his whistle. HT 0-0.

Liverpool once again look so dangerous on the counter following an opponent's corner. Salah leads the charge this time, and Alexander-Arnold wins a corner after his cross from the left is blocked.

Cardiff win a corner as they finally mount an attack for the first time in about 15 minutes.

The visitors have enjoyed 81% of possession so far, but are still yet to find the breakthrough.

  • 33'
Play resumes and Niasse seems like he too will be fine to continue.
  • 31'
Niasse goes down for the hosts after trying to win the ball back off Firmino. Cardiff's physios are currently on the pitch as he receives treatment, and the rest of the players take a drinks break on what is a warm spring day.
  • 31'
Chance!! Trent whips in a teasing ball to the front post, which Mane gets to first but can only flick over the bar.
  • 30'
Just the final pass missing for the Reds once again, as Salah finds space behind Cardiff's defence but Mane's pass doesn't reach him.

Liverpool starting to move through the gears here as the front three get more of the ball. Cardiff doing enough to keep them at bay at the moment though.
  • 26'
Henderson peels away to the back post and Robertson's pinpoint looping cross lands on the skipper's forehead, but he seems to struggle with the sun in his eyes and does Cardiff's job for them by clearing the ball.
  • 24'
Woah - Mendez-Laing is quick! He once again races past Alexander-Arnold, who has struggled in the opening exchanges here. His cross is headed away by the ever-present Virgil Van Dijk, however.

  • 12'
First shot of the day as Sadio Mane, full of confidence after 10 goals in his last 12 games, tries his luck from 25 yards - the result is high, wide and not very pretty.
  • 11'
A bright couple of minutes for the hosts, with Oumar Niasse twice finding a bit of space on the left hand side.
  • 10'
Camarasa gingerly back to his feet and will be fine to continue.
  • 9'
Camarasa goes down after a challenge from Keita. It certainly did not look like a foul, despite the Spaniard's complaints, and referee Martin Atkinson waved play on.
  • PRVW
A fine finish from the midfielder for just his second ever Premier League away goal.
  • PRVW
And we're off! Liverpool kicking from right to left under the baking Welsh sun.
  • PRVW
The teams are out on a beautiful afternoon in South Wales.
  • PRVW
Cardiff's recent home form will not fill their supporters with hope heading into today's clash - they have won just two of their last eight home games, and have lost 18 successive Premier League games against the current top-six sides.
  • PRVW
Liverpool are currently one point shy of their record Premier League points tally of 86 points, which they look set to smash with four games remaining. A win today will also see them reach another milestone - this could be the first time they have won nine games in a row since April 2014.
  • PRVW
Liverpool, meanwhile, make three changes from their midweek thumping of Porto in. Captain Jordan Henderson returns in midfield, and Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino start as James Milner, Fabinho and Divock Origi drop to the bench.
  • PRVW
As expected, Cardiff name an unchanged lineup from their excellent win away at Brighton in midweek. Neil Warnock has a famously frosty relationship with Liverpool, and would love nothing more than to take three points off the Merseysiders today that would really derail their title charge.
  • PRVW
A win for Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool, however, will see the Reds regain the lead in this thrilling Premier League title race - at least until Wednesday when Manchester City face bitter rivals Manchester United in what, especially after United's result against Everton today, does not look like it will be an evenly matched derby.
  • PRVW
So, a huge game at both ends of the table then. A Cardiff win here will see them draw level on points with Brighton, who they beat 2-0 last time out, although they will stay in the bottom three on goal difference.
  • PRVW
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
