Joao Cancelo is about to leave Man City to join Bayern Munich for the rest of the season. The reason is because he had an argument with Pep Guardiola in the middle of a training session when he found out he was not going to start against Arsenal in the FA Cup. 'The Daily Mail' reported this incident and the game in question ended with victory for the Sky Blues.
Since the World Cup in Qatar, the full-back has become more vocal than every before to express his disagreement over decisions made by the Spanish manager. After being left out of the Premier League clashes against Tottenham and Wolves, he ended up to talking to the manager to tell him that he was not at all happy at playing second fiddle.
After the heated argument that he had at Man City's training ground, the footballer threatened to leave the club taking advantage of the fact that the January transfer window is open. The response from the board was clear: as soon as his agents brought an offer of a move on loan to Germany, the club allowed to leave. Man City do not want players who kick off when they get left out of the squad.
Bayern Munich completed a deal to have him at the club for the rest of the season with an option to buy. According to the 'Daily Mail', that would be for around 60 million euros. It is also known that Man City are working on a replacement, so it should not surprise anybody if more news is leaked in the coming days.
