Caballero howler put Argentina's World Cup hopes in peril

Having lost their opening game, Argentina were under pressure to perform against Group D leaders Croatia, however all did not go to plan for the 'Albiceleste'.
After a goalless first half, it was Croatia who drew first blood, and it was all thanks to a shocking error from goalkeeper Willy Caballero in minute 53.
The opportunity came from nowhere, as Gabriel Mercado squared a simple close-range pass back to the keeper. However, Caballero fluffed it completely, scuffing a kick straight into the path of Ante Rebic.
Although it was a fairly large opportunity, it was by no means a nailed-on goal, however Rebic finished it off with aplomb. The forward smashed a volley over the Chelsea goalkeeper, who watched in agony as it looped over him to put Croatia 0-1 up.
