Jack Butland was stretchered off against Germany on Tuesday night before Toni Kroos' opening goal.
The Stoke City goalkeeper appeared to sustain an injury when diving to gather a loose ball and he further aggravated the injury when he cleared the ball up the pitch.
Butland then hobbled back to the goal posts and just missed Kroos' strike.
He was replaced by Fraser Forster and it is thought that Butland has sustained a calf injury.
