There was not a dry eye in the house as the curtain came down on Buffon's long 15-year tenure at the Serie A champions.
However, attention has already started turning as to where the legendary goalkeeper could be heading next, with PSG tipped as a potential destination.
Buffon was asked about heading to Paris after his appearance in Andrea Pirlo's testimonial match on Monday night.
According to 'Sport' his reply was: "I need a week to calm down, think and analyse all the details. I have to make a responsible decision at 40. French? I don't speak it".
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi was also highly dismissive when asked about Buffon's potential arrival.
But as all footballing transfers go, you can never right a move off.
