Brugge suggest 18 league team with no promotions or relegations

'Sporza' inform of the email that Brugge sent to the Belgian league and all the professional clubs in the championship with a totally different proposal to what has been studied so far.

The Belgian leaders want the championship to be expanded from 16 to 18 teams, cancelling relegations while allowing the promotion of Beerschot and Leuven.

On Friday, the Pro League General Assembly will make a decision about the league, announcing if the competition will resume or remain suspended indefinitely.

Due to the break forced by the coronavirus crisis, the competition was postponed on the last matchday, with Waasland-Beveren bottom, a side who will end up getting relegated if the Federation thus decide it. Brugge want to avoid it.
