At 21, George Cox is still hoping he has the chance to show his worth at Brighton, the club in which he grew as a footballer.
He has progressed rapidly for the U21s and the U23s, but he has struggled to break into the first team. He spent half of last season at Northampton and this season he will be in the Eredivisie.
His new club will be Fortuna Sittard, a small club from Sittard, close to the German border. Despite not being an Eredivisie regular (they had not been in the Eredivisie since getting relegated in 2002), they have been in the Dutch top flight for two consecutive seasons.
Cox will try and make a name for himself at the Dutch club, as well as other English young talents who have to look for a living abroad. Many clubs have looked to Holland as a country to send their footballers on loan to.
