Marc-Andre ter Stegen will finally undergo surgery. Although the German goalkeeper wanted to opt for conservative treatment, he will finally undergo surgery on his back problems, according to Sport.

It was the same media that said that surgery had become one of the options, after returning injured in the last international break in which he did not even get to play for Germany.

After a meeting with the medical services of Barcelona and the German national team, Ter Stegen has finally decided to stop for good in order to fully recover. It should be remembered that, in addition to the final stretch of the season, this year there is the Euro 2024 in Germany.

Ter Stegen will miss the next two months of competition and will not be at the Spanish Super Cup. The German goalkeeper's objective is to recover for the Champions League round of 16 in mid-February.
