Bundesliga leaders RB Leipzig have completed the signing of Dinamo Zagreb playmaker Dani Olmo on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
"The talented 21-year-old midfielder is signing for RB Leipzig. He comes from Dinamo Zagreb and signs a contract until 2024," read the club statement.
Dani Olmo will wear the '25' jersey on his back. RB Leipzig have reviewed the player's career and highlighted his technical skills as well as his offensive potential.
The player will soon be joining RB Leipzig. "He will not be there for the match against Eintracht, but will complete the training session with the team this Monday," the club explained.
The news was an open secret. Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica has already confirmed it to the Croatian press a few days ago.
Teams like Milan, Barça, Monaco and Atletico had all been linked to the talented youngster, but it's the German club who will be benefitting from his skills this season.
Last season, Dani Olmo completed his best year at Dinamo Zagreb. He played 44 games, scored 12 goals and gave three assists.
So far in 2019-20, Dani Olmo has scored eight goals and three assists in 21 games. He will now complete the remainder of the season by playing for another team in the highly competitive Bundesliga.
