Daniel Levy had been at the helm for almost 25 years, overseeing Spurs' transformation on and off the pitch.
In a statement, Levy reflected on his time at the club with pride, highlighting both its sporting growth and its community impact. "We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community," he said, while paying tribute to colleagues he described as "some of the greatest people in this sport."
During his time as chairman, Levy was instrumental in the development of Tottenham's state-of-the-art stadium and training facilities, as well as steering the club into consistent European competition. His leadership has left a lasting mark on the modern era of the north London side.
Tottenham confirmed that there will be no changes to the club's ownership or shareholder structure following his departure. The search for his successor is expected to begin immediately as Spurs prepare for the next chapter of their history.
