After several weeks of uncertainty and negotiations with just a date - December 18 - and no confirmation on a time, LaLiga has announced the match will be played from 8pm (local time).
Barça-Madrid, the first 'Clasico' of the season, had to be held on 26 October initially. The sentence of the 'Procés' to the independence leaders of Catalonia originated a series of demonstrations, altercations, and revolts that led to the Spanish football estates to, first, summon the clubs to search for an alternative date and, second, the final postponement.
After several days of inaction, and despite the fact that LaLiga had the intention that the great game of Spanish football be played on December 4, Barcelona and Madrid agreed to celebrate the 'Clasico' on December 18. Now they know what time they will play it.
What will not be is at 13:00, silver morning time by Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and described as a "nonsense" by Luis Rubiales, president of the Federation. That same day there is Cup competition, another reason why there were voices against it being played on December 18.
