Brazilian club Corinthians' chief reveals they made an offer to Ronaldo

Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo is already a player of Al Nassr. After terminating his contract with Manchester United, he opted to pack his bags and go to the exotic destination of Saudi Arabia. He has not yet been able to make his debut, but hopes to do so soon.

In Brazil they regret that, after leaving Old Trafford, he did not want to try his luck in the country. Corinthians president Duilio Monteiro revealed to 'Os Donos da Bola' that his team made him a proposal.

"We made an offer to Cristiano Ronaldo. A salary equal to what he was earning at United and a two-year contract with the help of sponsors," he revealed.

The Brazilian chief explained that this was not the only offer the striker had in his hands: "I know that he also had proposals from European clubs".

So what happened? Corinthians' offer could not compete with Al Nassr's and the dream could not come true. "Saudi Arabia's offer was 20 times higher...", he said.
