That's all from us! Thanks very much for your company and we hope to see you again soon.
97'
That's Brazil's 9th Copa America and I think you have to say that the Jesus goal on the stroke of the half-time was a killer blow. That said, they have exceeded expectations getting this far. The final was just a step too far for them. The Peru players are said, but they should be proud of themselves.
97'
Brazil (10) 3-1 Peru!! It's all over at the Maracana!! All the Brazilian players invade the pitch and the stadium is rocking! Peru competed really well in the first half, but Brazil were too good in the second. Jesus got sent off at 2-1, but Peru hardly threatened with the extra man. Everton and Richarlison also got on the scoresheet for Brazil. Guerrero's goal for in the 44th minute was in vain in the end.
97'
Free-kick to Peru and it's all over!!!!!
96'
Brazil have a corner, but they are keeping it near there. Oles ring around the stadium!
95'
1 extra minute.
95'
Peru send a free-kick in from the near side which is cleared.
94'
Peru are attacking here, but it's a lost cause now.
93'
Brazil sub: Allan has come onto the pitch for Everton.
92'
Five added mins.
91'
Richarlison was carded for taking his shirt off in the celebration.
91'
Can't see Brazil throwing this away now.
90'
It's scored!!!!! Richarlison scores and that's the Copa America for Brazil!!! Gallese went the right way, but he couldn't reach it.
89'
The penalty stays and no second yellow!
88'
The ref is going himself!! Will it be a pen? No pen? Or just a second yellow for Zambrano?
87'
Penalty to Brazil!!!! Everton goes down after a foul by Zambrano! Peru wanted a foul the other way, but that looks to be the right decision. Zambrano perhaps lucky to avoid a second yellow. The question was who initiated the contact.
86'
Peru final sub: Polo comes on for Carrillo.
85'
Lots of little fouls here. Not what Peru want at all.
84'
Advincula now gets his yellow for stopping Everton. Clear. This time he doesn't get away with it.
83'
Peru sub: Gonzales on for Tapia.
82'
The referee hasn't done anything terrible, but I think he's been rather erratic with his decision making. Some clear cards missed.
81'
Everton has gone down after Advincula caught him with his arm. The Brazilians want a card, but nothing given. Was a yellow.
80'
We're hearing that Jesus tried to damage the VAR equipment pitchside after his dismissal. Second yellows aren't reviewable!!
78'
Peru sub: Ruidiaz has come onto the field. Yotun went off.
77'
Coutinho leaves the park and Militao comes on.
76'
Jesus is sitting on the dressing room steps in tears. He jumped up for the ball and caught the Peruvian player with his side as he jumped. Understandable, but not a definite second yellow.
75'
Brazil sub: Richarlison is on for Firmino.
74'
What a chance for Flores!! The corner was partly cleared and his effort from inside the D flew just wide!
73'
Peru win a corner now after a great move! The end product hit the side netting.
70'
Jesus is thrown out of the game for a second yellow! He's fuming. It was for a foul and it can't be reviewed as it's a second yellow.
68'
Zambrano barges Jesus off the ball illegally and is shown a yellow. Poor challenge.
67'
Thiago Silva clears for a corner now as Peru start to press.
64'
Brazil look to have this under control but they are starting to look a bit shaky.
62'
Chance for Peru!!! Flores dispossesses, he passes for Cueva who beats 3 or 4 players, but the ball to Guerrero is just behind him and the chance goes a begging.
58'
Coutinho sees a pop from the edge of the area blocked. Brazil dominating now.
57'
Firmino heads wide after good play by Everton and Sandro. The latter put the cross in.
54'
Firmino strikes wide of the target and wants a corner, but nothing given.
53'
Free kick given to Peru! There were shouts of a penalty.
53'
T Silva sees his name taken for fouling Cueva.
51'
Coutinho!!!! Jesus feeds him and the ball just flies wide of the post.
49'
Tapia is carded after grabbing Coutinho and pulling him down with both hands.
47'
Alves tries an ambitious effort from a distance after a half cleared corner.
47'
Peru clear away pinball in their own area!
46'
Sandro wins a corner for the home side.
46'
Brazil get us back underway here!! No changes at the break.
45'
Welcome back everyone!
45'
It was a very stop-start first half. Peru had started the better, but Brazil took charge after Everton's strike. Peru then came back into it a bit, but they ended up equalising in the 44th through Guerrero's penalty. Jesus had the last word before the break. Join us in 10 for the resumption!
45'
HT: Brazil 2-1 Peru! Guerrero is down in tears after that goal. All the Peru players went in a huddle and Guerrero was on floor. He is having to be calmed down.
45'
Jesus scores!!! Brazil back in front! Firmino dispossesses the Peru player in his own half, Arthur makes a run before passing to Jesus who finishes in style.
45'
Three extra minutes.
45'
Now Brazil want a penalty, but nothing given.
44'
He sends Alisson the wrong way!!! Guerrero sent it to Alisson's left and Peru level the scores here!
43'
Penalty is confirmed! His arm was out because he slid, but with the new rules, that's a pen. Not deliberate, but he made himself bigger. Surprising that the VAR called him to look at that.
42'
He's going himself!!! His arm's out, I'm not sure it's deliberate, but it's clear under the new rules.
42'
Guerrero ready to take, but VAR still checking.
41'
Penalty to Peru!!!!!! Handball given! Thiago Silva stops Cueva's pass with his arm after a good one-two between him and Flores, I think.
39'
Sandro catches Zambrano in the face for no reason. Could have been a yellow, No need for that.
37'
Carrillo could have fouled the Brazil defender before sending a cross in which a defender has to clear. A clear opening for Peru.
36'
Sandro sends in a superb cross to the far post, Firmino jumps over Trauco to head the ball just over the crossbar. That was dangerous.
36'
62% possession for the hosts.
35'
Everton goes past Advincula on the far side. However, when he tries to go into the area, Zambrano slides in to clear.
33'
Peru have fought back in the last five minutes, but Brazil look to have it under control.
32'
They tried to work something off the training ground and pass it out wide instead of putting it into the box and they make a hash of it.
31'
Free-kick for Peru here after Casemiro leaves an arm in his face while jumping for the ball. Slightly harsh.
30'
Jesus gets the first card of the game and leaves his mark on Yotun. Very late.
29'
Peru see a free-kick cleared and then Jesus earns a free-kick on the counter.
27'
Guerrero's header from Yotun's delivery goes well over.
27'
Carrillo wins a corner for Peru!
24'
Coutinho!!! Firmino makes a great move down the far side and crosses for Coutinho who can get his foot to it, but it just goes wide.
22'
Peru have to do something that no team has done in this tournament: score v Brazil.
21'
Tapia gets a relieving free-kick for Peru. Brazil have committed eight of the 12 fouls up to now.
19'
Brazil have taken control of this game since the goal.
17'
Alves sends a free-kick into the box and it is cleared.
17'
The stadium erupted after that goal and rightly so.
15'
Goaaaaaaaaal!!!!!!!! Everton scores for Brazil! A long pass is sent to Jesus on the near side, he beats Trauco and then sends a lovely ball in to Everton who volleys in. Gallese had no chance.
14'
Alves brings down Guerrero now. Lots of fouls and very little football up to now.
12'
Yotun catches Sandro on the foot now. A card will have to come out soon.
11'
Alves puts a cross in from the near side, but it is too strong and even though Firmino gets there, he can't control and it goes just for a throw in.
9'
So many little fouls. Jesus penalised now and the crowd start booing.
7'
Coutinho makes a lovely twist and turn in Peru's half and then goes down wanting a foul. Nothing given though.
7'
Peru on top early doors here.
6'
Guerrero wants a foul, doesn't get one and then the ball is played out to Tapia 25 yards out who shoots wayward!
5'
Alejandro Dominguez, the CONMEBOL president, is in the VIP area watching this one.
4'
Arthur catches a Peru player with a stray arm now. Casemiro was fouled earlier as well. Quite stop start.
2'
Cueva goes for it!!!! And it just whistles past the base of Alisson's right hand post.
2'
Handball by Coutinho and Peru have a free-kick 30 yards out!
1'
Peru get us going here!!! Both teams in their normal strips, Peru attacking from right to left.
Prev.
We will have a minute's silence before kick-off
Prev.
We are about to start! What an atmosphere!
Prev.
The players are now out on the pitch!! The anthems are about to be played.
Prev.
There's a big closing ceremony going on with songs and entertainment! There's a Brazilian and a Peruvian kid lifting the trophy and taking it to the stand by the tunnel. Plenty of other kids wearing the shirts of the other Copa America teams are just behind them.
Prev.
The two teams met in the group phase when Brazil mauled their opponents 5-0. Casemiro, Firmino, Everton, Alves and Willian got on the scoresheet although both teams were pretty though so not sure how much we should read into that game. Gallese made a shocker in the Peru net for the second goal, but he had a blinder in the semi-final against Chile.
Prev.
It's a nice late afternoon here in Rio de Janeiro. The temperature is 21 degrees.
Prev.
We have Chilean officials for this game. Roberto Tobar is the on field referee while Julio Bascunan is the VAR. The duo were in action in Brazil's 0-0 draw with Venezuela when between them, they disallowed three goals for the hosts. They have swapped roles for today though.
Prev.
Peru team: Gallese (GK); Trauco, Abram, Zambrano, Advincula; Flores, Yotun, Cueva, Tapia, Carrillo; Guerrero.
Prev.
Brazil XI: Alisson (GK); Alves, T Silva, Marquinhos, A Sandro; Jesus, Arthur, Coutinho, Casemiro, Everton; Firmino.
Prev.
Neither side makes a change from the teams which played in the semi-finals. Brazil defeated Argentina 2-0 in controversial fashion while Peru were 3-0 winners over Chile.
Prev.
